The Palmer's Forest
We are working in partnership with Tree Nation to create a new forest in Cameroon, Africa.
Our aim is to plant up to 24,000 trees to help reforest and protect our planet from CO2 emissions. The density of the forest will equate to 24 hectares which is the size of around 33 football fields.

The Palmer's Forest will be offsetting over 12,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions during its lifespan, that is equivalent to 13,505 flights from London to New York!
Why Cameroon?

We chose to plant our forest in Cameroon, as it is the 4th largest producer of cocoa butter in the world. Cocoa butter is the main natural ingredient used in many of our products, in fact we use over 300 million cocoa beans a year which equates to over 200 tonnes of cocoa butter.

The lifespan of the trees planted will be up to 150 years and will contribute to helping fight the ongoing climate crisis by purifying the air, sustaining wildlife, and lowering the air temperature.

In addition to the environmental impact, the Forest will also address soil erosion, assist with food insecurity and the unsustainable farming practices of smaller cocoa farmers. Through the intercropping of multipurpose trees and fruit trees, this project is helping 500 cocoa farmers grow higher quality cocoa beans while improving their land and livelihoods.
What will be planted in the Palmer's Forest?
Inside the Forest we will be planting the following species and mix:
Moringa Oleifera
Known as the tree of miracles, it can be used in a range of traditional medicines. The oil obtained from the mature pods, known as 'oil of Ben', is used as a lubricant, in cosmetics, perfumes, soaps and ointments. It’s a fast-growing tree and it can be used for hedges, for wind protection, shade and for live fences.

LIFETIME CO2 OFFSET: 125KG

Croton Megalocarpus
Croton Megalocarpus is a multipurpose tree that is important for local people as a source of timber, firewood and medicines. It is often harvested from the wild and is also cultivated, becoming an important component of agroforestry systems in East Africa.

LIFETIME CO2 OFFSET: 700KG

Ricinodendron Heudelotii
Known as the tree of miracles, it can be used in a range of traditional medicines. The oil obtained from the mature pods, known as 'oil of Ben', is used as a lubricant, in cosmetics, perfumes, soaps and ointments. It’s a fast-growing tree and it can be used for hedges, for wind protection, shade and for live fences.
